Hector Bernal

Intro
Hello! I’m Hector Bernal, a software technical writer and knowledge engineer. I write API and integration docs, SQL/data content, and troubleshooting guides for both developers and customers. I’ve supported knowledge bases for ServiceNow, RisingWave, Recharge, and CE Broker, partnering with engineering, product, and support to keep content clear, searchable, and easy to maintain.
I studied Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton, which helps me write and validate technically accurate docs.
Focus areas
- Knowledge management: AQIs, KFTs, lifecycle upkeep, content gaps
- Information architecture: navigation, templates, consistency
- Troubleshooting guides: symptoms → causes → fixes
- API & integrations: endpoints, auth, payloads, errors
- Data & SQL docs: syntax, patterns, data types
- Docs-as-code: GitHub reviews, Markdown workflows
